Thursday Drought Update: Continued Improvements Thanks To Recent Thunderstorms : The Alabama Weather Blog

As of the latest update that was released earlier today, the drought situation continues to improve across the state of Alabama thanks to all of the shower and thunderstorms we had last weekend. Only a tiny portion of southwest Alabama remains in a moderate drought, but the remainder of the state is either cleared from all drought conditions, or has been downgraded to a level 1 abnormally dry condition.

Through the next 7 days, 1/5-1″ of rain will be possible according to the WPC QPF chart, which will continue to help with the remaining low end drought situation.
