With over a century of music history within its walls, Newtown’s Botany View hotel (BVH) is joining forces with Young Henrys to promote emerging artists at this year’s Newtown Sound.
For 10 weeks, from 31 January, Newtown Sound will take over the BVH stage every Friday night. For a $10 entry fee, patrons will see Sydney’s best new performers, including genres like indie, rock, and punk.
There will also be specials on Young Henrys beers, and food options from BVH’s Sunset Diner.
Rock trio The Duke of Randwick, the soulful BECHILL, and alt-rock HALPERT, will launch Newtown Sound.
