Deadbeat brings high energy to Perth’s bar scene.

Perth’s bar scene just got a serious adrenaline boost with the arrival of Deadbeat, a hair-metal-inspired dive bar. From the team behind Varnish on King, Deadbeat isn’t just about drinks, it’s a nod to the grunge and grit of the 80s and 90s, where rock, skate culture, and biker rebellion unite.

Adrian Ruiz (Adi), is the operations manager leading the venue, bringing 28 years of bar experience to the forefront across five countries. With a resume that includes The Baxter Inn, Eau de Vie, and the award-winning Bulletin Place, Adi is set to create a space fuelled with unpretentious energy.

Expect a lineup of cocktails and cans like the Snake Venom, with ketel 1 citroen, melon, sour apple, and acid or the Red Widow, including Tanqueray gin, sweet vermouth, Campari, red creaming soda, and vanilla ice cream.

The venue boasts a dark and moody atmosphere, featuring zebra print sofas, electric blue booths, posters plastered on walls, a large mirror ball, and a centrepiece Harley Davidson mural, all bounded by the glow of neon lighting. Further adding to the venues laid back culture, pool tables are available for patrons to play while sipping on a drink, as well as house drinking games.
