Jackson Family Wines Launches Loire Valley Brand Passerelles
California’s Jackson Family Wines is debuting a new Passerelles brand from France’s Loire Valley. The Passerelles lineup includes Sauvignon Blancs from Touraine Oisly ($30) and Sancerre ($40), as well as Chenin Blanc from Anjou ($25) and a Cabernet Franc from Saumur ($35). The range is rolling out across major U.S. markets.
Jackson Family proprietor Barbara Banke noted rising interest in Loire Valley offerings in the wine market in announcing the launch. “Over the past five years, we’ve seen a global explosion in consumer interest in all their star varieties—Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Cabernet Franc primary among them,” she said. Passerelles joins a Jackson Family Wines portfolio that totals approximately 6 million cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.—Daniel Marsteller
