- Suntory Global Spirits has announced the first batch of Booker’s Bourbon for 2025. The release, Barry’s Batch, comes in at 62.85% abv and is just over seven years old. The final whiskey is blended from barrels aged in five of Beam’s warehouses. The release is a tribute to Barry Berish, a former chairman and CEO at Beam and a 40-year veteran of the company. Barry’s Batch carries a suggested price of $100 and is available in limited quantities across the U.S.
- Edrington’s The Glenrothes has released the 51, the oldest single malt Scotch whisky introduced by the distillery. The 51-year-old single malt is blended from two casks, with only 100 bottles released worldwide. Each bottle carries a sticker price of $46,500. The bottle itself comes sealed inside a Jesmonite column which must be cracked open using an included hammer to reveal the liquid. The Glenrothes 51 will be sold in select specialty retailers around the world. Edrington acquired The Glenrothes from Berry Bros. & Rudd in 2017.
