Farmentry Taproom : The Bottom Line
If you’re in the Nara area, and don’t mind either a long taxi ride, or taking some trains and walking for a bit, then head on over to the taproom from Farmentry. There are a wide range of beers on tap, with beers to takeaway as well. Moreover, there is a nice seating area outside for when the weather is nice. Be warned though, there isn’t any food on offer; however, there is a convenience store nearby. There is some free wifi, and dogs are welcome outside.

Farmentry Taproom : Background
Farmentry opened this taproom in December 2024, with it being located next to the brewery. Located in what is the middle nowhere, you will either need to walk or get a taxi from the nearest station. Those stations are either Yamato-Yagi Station on the Kintestu Line, or Kanahashi Station on the Man-yō Mahoroba Line.
Farmentry Taproom : Atmosphere & Interior
As you approach the brewery taproom, there is small outside drinking area present. Though on sunny days, expect this area to be busy. Inside, well, the taproom does look rather clinical, with its white walls. However, there is some dark brown wood to help break up the walls.
There is space for around 6 people seated at various benches; however, it’s mostly standing inside. There is some free wifi available and dogs are allowed outside the taproom. Finally, there is no table charge.



Farmentry Taproom : Beer & Tap Information
There are eight taps of craft beer on at the taproom, with all the beers from Farmentry. The beers come in two sizes : cup (300 ml) from ¥700 and can (500 ml) from ¥1,000. All the prices include tax. Unfortunately, there is no option for a beer flight, as there is very little space for cleaning. Moreover, the taps do rotate through, so the menu may look different on the day you go. While there are English menus, the staff didn’t speak any English. Finally, the cans be bought to drink in-store or takeaway.
