It’s always a good idea to peruse the minis section of a local section liquor store, because you just never know when you’ll find something you either have never tried or haven’t tried in a really long time. The itty bitty bottle of booze that is the subject of today’s review was NOT acquired during one of these trips. rather, it was a parting gift of sorts from this past Thanksgiving courtesy of our dear friend, The Alemonger.
The booze in question is the classic Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, aka Jim Beam White Label. The Jim Beam Distillery goes way back to the late 1700s, so we’re thinking they know a thing or two about making Bourbon. Here’s what they have to say about what we think is their gateway Bourbon expression:
Elegant. Smooth. Refined. That’s what 4 years of aging in newly charred oak barrels will get you. We’re staying loyal to our great-great-grandfather’s recipe and we’re proud to share it—from our family to yours.
Truth be told, we’ve explored many a Bourbon from the Jim Beam Distillery but have never reviewed this one. To find out how it stacks up, click play on the following video:
