Passific Brewing Lucky Number #200 : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
The beer poured out a murky brownish colour, with it being lighter at the bottom of the glass compared to the top. The beer had a thin layer of off-white, tan head on top that collapsed fast, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the top.
In terms of aroma, Passific Brewing Lucky Number #200 was mostly malt sweetness – some notes of caramel and nuts, alongside a slight roasted aroma – came through. For hop heads, there wasn’t much else going on besides a faint nose of some earthy tones coming through as the beer warmed up.
The body was more of the same really. That’s not meant in a deragotory way but more a case of if you like malty beers, you’ll be happy with Passific Brewing Lucky Number #200. The earthy tones were present again, with just a touch of alcohol heat residing underneath it all.
Passific Brewing Lucky Number #200 : The Bottom Line
Decent attempt at a doppelbock that’s not going to wow you or blow you away.
