Shared Speed Star Juicy IPA is a 6% hazy IPA from Shared Brewery based in Hachioji, Tokyo. It’s part of their canned and draught lineup, though its availability is unknown at the time of writing. The beer uses Kveik yeast to enable them to make this beer quickly, and is also a collaborative effort with Easy Going Brewing, a phantom brewery based in Nagoya, Aichi. This beer was first made by them back in 2020.

Shared Speed Star Juicy IPA : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
The beer poured out a hazy dark golden straw colour with a thin white head, though that didn’t last long. Some streaks were present down the edge of the glass, with a few bubbles just kicking around until the end.
The aroma was a full on tropical assault to the senses – lots going on in this beer. Mango and pineapple were at the forefront, with a backbone of citrus notes in the form of grapefruit and lemon along for the ride. There was also a touch of malt sweetness just lying under it all, helping support the aromas of the beer.
The body was super smooth both when chilled and when warmed up, with the tropical and citrus flavours lingering on throughout drinking. As in the nose, there were mango and pineapple flavours present, with grapefruit and lemon also lying in wait. The body was relatively light, and with no alcohol booziness present, this was an easy drinking beer. So much so that it lasted less than 20 minutes. Heck, if I had picked up some more of these, it would have been even quicker.
