Richard Wynne and the Callooh Callay crew take the reins until Christmas
The stockings are coming off, and the martinis are in the freezer. Silk Stockings, Dalston’s sultry speakeasy, has joined the Callooh Callay family — with Richard Wynne and his award-winning team behind the bar until at least Christmas.
From now through the festive season, expect the full Callooh Callay experience: a dash of daring, a splash of theatre, and drinks that flirt shamelessly with perfection. The cocktail menu will lean into classics with a twist — the kind that feel comfortably familiar until they catch you off guard and make you grin into your glass.
“Silk Stockings has always had an air of mystery and mischief,” says Richard Wynne, founder of Callooh Callay and recent lifetime award winner at this year’s BMA’s. “We’re keeping that spirit alive — pouring the sort of drinks that make you feel like you’ve found somewhere you shouldn’t tell your friends about… but inevitably will.”
The Callooh Callay team will run the show throughout November and December, bringing their trademark warmth, wit, and wildly good hospitality to the venue, whilst working on the plan for 2026.
This isn’t a takeover. It’s a Callooh Callay cameo — fleeting, frabjous, and absolutely not to be missed.
