South Horizon All Aboard : Appearance, Aroma, and Taste
Poured out a dark golden straw colour with a plump white head made up of lots of small bubbles. The head collapsed to less than a quarter of its original size, and left some thick streaks down the side of the glass.
Pungent resinous pine aroma with some citrus and tropical notes during drinking. The blend of lemon and grapefruit, with the pine, alongside some pineapple, is well crafted and combined together with a light malt pilsner aroma, is powerful on the nose but not abrasive.
Medium bitterness with a swift punch at first, though the dank, resinous tones come through quickly after. The blend of citrus and tropical flavours follow soon, with a well-crafted balanced between them. The malts offer some soothing sweetness as the beer warms up, before the hops come back, lingering on after drinking.
The Bottom Line
Another good beer from South Horizon Brewing – definitely going to be getting this on draught when I see it.
