How the Moon’s Zodiac Sign Affects Your Crystal Grid
Over the years since I wrote volume one of Crystal Grids Power, I’ve been asked this question. Working with the energy of the Moon has become very popular. The zodiac sign the Moon is in flavours the energy. This isn’t just for new and full moons either.
As the moon travels through the sky during a lunar month (New Moon to New Moon), it passes through all twelve signs of the zodiac. She will be in each sign for roughly two days. Right now, as you’re reading this the Moon is in one of the zodiac signs and this has an influence.
If you want to work with the Moon, you can use this to select a day to activate your crystal grid. This is a way of working intentionally with lunar energy and crystals. This energy is infused into your grid when you activate it. It can support your intention long after the grid is made.
How To Know The Moon’s Zodiac Sign
There are apps that let you see the zodiac sign the moon is in. I use an app called Deluxe Moon for this which has a lunar calendar for planning. You can also visit astrological websites that display the sign the moon is in now. Try Astro.com or Deluxe Moon.com.
WARNING: Lots of people are using VPNs while online. Real astrology is location-specific. For the moon sign to be accurate you will need to allow them to know what part of the world you are in, otherwise you could get the wrong sign.
Waxing Vs Waning Lunar Cycle
You can also take things a step further by considering the current lunar cycle. If you do this you will be reducing the flexibility you will have and may need to wait 2 weeks to find the right sign and moon phase. This is up to you but it is a popular method.
Waxing Cycle
From the New Moon through to the Full Moon, the Moon is in its waxing phase. The lunar light and energy are increasing with a maximum on the full moon. This is traditionally seen as the cycle of manifesting, taking action, growth and making things happen.
If you wanted to make a crystal grid for abundance for example, that would be about manifesting and attracting. The waxing phase would be best. So you could wait for this phase and when the Moon moved into Taurus to create prosperity.
Waning Cycle
After the Full Moon all the way to the New Moon, the moon is in a waning phase. The light and energy start to reduce until the moon turns dark. This is traditionally seen as a cycle best for releasing what does not serve you, cleansing and letting go.
If you want to make a crystal grid to leave a toxic relationship for example, that is releasing something. You could activate your grid while the moon is waning on the day of the Aries moon for new beginnings and willpower.
Do You NEED To Activate Crystal Grids With The Moon?
To be clear, you don’t ‘need’ to activate a crystal grid by the phase or the zodiac sign of the Moon. This is just a method that you could use, especially if you are someone who works with the moon already. Perhaps you love astrology or follow a spiritual path that honours the Moon.
Working with astrological timing isn’t always easy. If you need to set up a grid for something that needs help now, then waiting weeks or even a month might not be a good idea. Waiting for a full or new moon in a specific sign is even harder and could be a year-long wait…
TIP: Ultimately it’s all up to you. If it’s convenient to work with the moon sign then try it. If not, then just make the grid when you need it.
