Covid-19 Coronavirus Third Wave worse than second wave

For a while, it appeared that the level of the Covid-19 / Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak and the associated deaths might have been slowing down significantly around the world. The reason as to why may not be so simple. Some may want to say that it is the result of vaccines but this definitely is not true and this will be explained below. Regardless, the number of daily new cases is now higher than at any time during the second wave and new deaths are on the rise.

To start, let us look at the world’s new case load chart.

Looking at this charts, we can see that we were well past the second hump and falling, the peak of which was on Jan. 8 2021. This was well before the vaccines were in significant distribution. We can also see that the peak of mortality was on or about Jan 20th 2021 ( about 12 days later which is the normal lag between case diagnosis and mortality ). The peak of the second wave was about 844000 new cases a day but this has been far surpassed with over 897000 new cases on April 23rd of 2021. The drop-off in new cases was well before a significant roll out of the vaccines.

The peak of new cases in the U.S. was Jan. 8 2021 ( same as above and before any significant vaccine rollout ). The number of new cases in the US and the number of deaths has dropped to a relatively low level and still appears to have leveled out relative to the rest of the world. Something has happened to stop the spread of the virus and it was not the vaccines. What then?

In the US, while the largest peak was on 12 Jan. 2021, there was a last significant peak on Jan. 20, 2021 ( again 12 days later ). Since those dates, the cases and mortality rates have been on a downhill and the truth is that there has not a lot of vaccine been distributed. These decreases can not be attributed to the vaccines, then what? More importantly, with increasing vaccine distribution, there has not been a further decrease in either new cases or in the mortality rate. These remain mostly level in the US.

I believe that it is due to increased understanding by the public of the importance of taking vitamin D, not only to fight Covid-19 but also influenza and many autoimmune disorders as well. Many people are now taking 5000 IU a day or even 10,000 IU a day to stay healthy. We have learned that not only are we deficient in vitamin D but also that we are being misled, not only in how much is needed but also that we are being misled into thinking that it is bad or dangerous if we take very much of it. The truth is that there has only been 1 death from excess vitamin D in the past 10 years. There is a limit though and it is important to have your blood levels checked to avoid excess.

It is important to understand some things about vitamin D.

It is important to take vitamin K2 as it is a helper for vitamin D.

In the winter, when you do not get much vitamin D from sunlight, it is important to take plenty of vitamin D.

Vitamin D is absorbed by fat cells so if you have a lot of fat cells, it may be necessary to take more vitamin D than normal.

Dark skinned people get less vitamin D from sunlight than lighter skinned people.

It is best to have your vitamin D blood levels checked through testing.

If you find that you do get an excess of vitamin D, it is easy to fix.

Of course, vitamin D is not the only thing that you can take but it does appear to be the most critical.
