Finding_Cancer_Alternatives_therapies
There is a maze of articles and studies on cancer alternatives on the internet and it can become extremely confusing and disorienting when trying to find valid information.
Unless a person is already knowledgeable in Cancer and what Alternatives might exist, it is easy for one to be misled by articles that come from certain sources, especially from mainstream news and traditional medical sources. Both of which have a profit motive in promoting their agendas. As an example of this, there are a number of news stories that will quote scientific studies out of context and provide limited information, claiming that alternatives do not work. A discussion of an example of that is here: Study on Cancer Alternative Therapy is Misleading
There are many other examples that I will not list here but the important thing to note is that there are many sources of information that have “fingers on the scale” syndrome, this includes many that have an agenda of promoting traditional profitable treatments.
A blistering review of the American Cancer Society can be found here: The American Cancer Society: Running WITH the Money and AWAY From the Cure – Part 1 by Tony Isaacs
The ACS: Running WITH the Money and AWAY From the Cure – Part 2
The ACS: Running WITH the Money and AWAY From the Cure – Part 3
It should be known that with many cancer funds, very little goes to helping actual cancer sufferers but instead goes first to the agendas of those cancer societies and then to pharmaceutical companies for researching potentially profitable therapies and treatments.
The one that I find to be centered towards actually helping with nutritional and alternative therapies is the American Institute for Cancer Research ( AICR ).
