What should you do with the intention note in your crystal grid once you have finished with it? Should you keep it or dispose of it and if so how should you do it? Here’s what you should know…
The Purpose Of Intention Notes In Crystal Grids
An intention note is a small piece of paper with a written statement of your intention, used as part of your crystal grid. This could also be an affirmation. This note is usually folded and placed under the centre stone of your crystal grid. It helps anchor your intention for the grid.
Using an intention note in your crystal grids is optional. You don’t have to do this for it to work, but many people, myself included, prefer to use them. It helps me clarify my intention and impresses it into my mind. Similar to writing down your goals or manifestations.
Finished With Your Crystal Grid?
Once you have finished with your crystal grid and want to take it down you will be left with this intention note. Also, if you decide to revise and update your intention note you will be left with the old one.
I recently posted a video tutorial on my YouTube channel about how to make a crystal grid for your New Moon intentions (see below). This one uses a list of intentions on a note. This type of grid is sometimes only up for a couple of weeks or a month.
What To Do With Your Intention Note
Firstly, I would always cleanse your note along with all the other crystals in your grid after you disassemble it. Remember, your intention is released into the universe already. What you do with your intention note is up to you, there’s no one right way. I have a few options for you below to consider:
1: BURN IT
Some people will burn their notes. You will need to be very careful doing this. Use a fireproof container, bowl or dish. Some incense burners can be used for this. Light the paper with a lighter or match and wait until it burns out.
Make sure there is no wind or drafts that could lift the burning paper out of the container. Afterwards, the remaining ashes can later be sprinkled into the wind from a window or scattered outside on the earth.
2: BURY IT
Some people will bury the note in their garden. Near a tree is a nice location. Paper is a natural material and biodegradable. But, if you are concerned you could use natural handmade paper that’s free of bleach and harsh chemicals. You can find these at art supply stores.
3: RECYCLE IT
This is the easiest and most modern way and what I normally do. Put the note into your paper recycling. This way the paper is sent back out into the world in another form. Continuing the cycle just like the ash and earth in the other methods.
What do you normaly do with your intention notes? I would love to hear from you in the comments below (PLEASE keep any questions you have concise and stick to this blog post topic if you want a response).
