Richard Dawson is a British singer-songwriter known for his ability to blend folk, experimentation and storytelling. After opening his 2022 album The Ruby Cord with a 41-minute track and collaborating with Finnish group Circle on epic songs from the perspective of a seed, Dawson has decided to go back to basics.

Walking into a Cyril Cyril album is like being invited to a party where you thought you didn’t know anyone, only to find out that the guy’s girlfriend is your brother’s cousin, and leaving with everyone’s number.

They propose an eclectic and refined form of contemporary industrial music, made of compulsive minimal synths, primordial polyrhythms and post-punk and EBM elements reinterpreted in a unique way.
