London-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Jessica Roch has released her latest track, “Waterworld.” Opening gently with rising electronic tones and emotive piano melodies, the piece gradually builds in waves, introducing vibrant synth arpeggios and subtle, warped vocals. The interplay between ambient textures, experimental rhythms, and classical influences creates a distinctive yet approachable sonic landscape.
Originally conceived during the pandemic, “Waterworld” was revisited and completed with a focus on balancing intimacy with expansive, cosmic sounds. Roch, whose style bridges ambient, electronic, minimalist classical, and experimental genres, uses delayed piano, layered vintage synths, and carefully placed vocals to guide listeners through a dynamic, psychedelic soundscape.
Beyond her solo projects, Roch is known for her work composing music for games, films, and interdisciplinary art, and has performed as a session musician with notable acts like Super Furry Animals.
