LIKE IT USED TO BE

Perspectives adrift in a sonic world built on the radiant glow of rhythms and thoughtfulness. From start to finish, Like It Used To Be captures inner emotions, chilling them to the perfect degree of energetic serenity. Now sure how many times this record has been listened to, enough to understand repeat listens are most happily welcomed. Like It Used To Be is a composition written and played by Matthew “RECLOOSE” Chicoine. A superb creation with diverse arrangements of rhythms and beats, all being adhered together in one slickly smooth listening experience. Noting the third track “Procession”, the one track within holding qualities from the dub world. A perfect setup for the groove laden selection titled “Throw Up Your Hands” following immediately after. The final track “Dying To Say” ratchets up the pace with a futuristic Copacabana dance enrapture. The only wish is for this album to be longer or paired with another composition that continues in the same direction. Excellent Sounds!

Released on vinyl by the Detroit, Michigan label 100 LIMOUSINES. The recording is at 45RPM for playback. Explains why it is a little shorter and contributes to how good the vinyl sounds. Not sure on the number of vinyl editions, but copies are currently available from 100 LIMOUSINES bandcamp page.
