The spirit of this album is introspection, the ability to stop everything around for a few seconds and reflect.
The absence of a common good as humanity. I believe that the proliferation of neoliberal governments and supranational corporations has brought a suffocating work logic, where productivity is god and workers are sacrificed to this deity, leading to the hyper-individualization of the person, where others are seen as outsiders to be defeated.
We are no longer part of something larger but have become an end in ourselves.
I see the widespread apathy toward the suffering of others as a consequence of the exaltation of the self over the communal. Thinking about others, being empathetic, requires time — time I cannot dedicate if all I think about is myself.
Today, the social mandate is to reach an unattainable potential, creating a constant state of frustration in individuals.
