On May 3, 2025, I delivered my paper on the Free State of Jones to the 2nd Annual Central Coast Conference in Monterey, California. The theme was “Seldom Heard History of the Civil War Era” and I was among six featured speakers. Sadly, due to multiple cancelled and delayed flights, I never got off the ground from Austin. Thanks to Zoom, however, I nevertheless delivered my paper, which is now available via YouTube for all to view.
