Snails, mussels, espresso martinis, good coffee and oeufs mayonnaise… Is there anything you can’t get at La Parole Amsterdam? Hard to think of, because since its opening, this spot has been a favourite among young, old, and basically everyone who loves French classics and a relaxed atmosphere.
Ambience and interior at La Parole Amsterdam
When La Parole opened its doors a few years ago, it was a great addition to Amsterdam West. A lovely new bistro on the corner of Kwakersstraat, where a dated café had been for decades. Time for a fresh breeze, and that’s exactly what La Parole brought (and still brings!). The venue is open from Tuesday to Sunday, and from Friday to Sunday, you can also enjoy lunch there. Ideally, you do so on their lovely sunlit terrace, but the indoor setting is just as inviting. The interior instantly transports you to Paris. Think: wooden chairs, a dark bar, black-and-white tiled walls, and marble elements. It creates a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, further enhanced by the friendly staff catering to your every need.

Menu and dishes at La Parole
We already mentioned it: whether you’re in the mood for typical classics (snails, mussels, you name it) or looking for more modern dishes (avocado toast), you’ll find them all on La Parole’s menu. When it comes to lunch, the croque monsieur rivals those in Paris, and the French onion soup with gruyère is equally reminiscent of the French capital.
Later in the day, you can indulge in snails, oysters and vongole. Meat lovers will be thrilled with the entrecôte, classic steak tartare, tournedos, or a juicy cheeseburger. And of course, everything is best enjoyed with a side of French fries and a good glass of wine.

La Parole is perfect for a leisurely lunch on the terrace
Is the sun shining? Then La Parole is the place to be. This is the perfect spot for a long lunch on the terrace with friends or family. It’s also ideal for a casual date or just a delicious meal on a weekday evening.
Tip: these (new) restaurants can also be found in West
