Pop-up Restaurant Flore Amsterdam // Your Little Black Book

Restaurant Flore Amsterdam is perhaps best known for its two Michelin stars and green star and for being a fantastic fine dining restaurant in Hotel De L’Europe. However, despite (or possibly thanks to) its success, founder Bas van Kranen felt it was time for a fresh approach, so some changes will be introduced starting this year.

Atmosphere and interior at Restaurant Flore Amsterdam

Restaurant Flore Amsterdam boasts a beautiful, classic Dutch interior with soft beige tones. It’s a wonderful place to be, especially when you realise that everything at Flore is done sustainably – from cooking to sourcing ingredients.

Chef Bas van Kranen, renowned for his innovative culinary style, will take months to develop a new direction for Flore. Therefore, the restaurant will close its doors from 1 January to 2 April. Both the menu and the interior will undergo significant transformations. “We are greatly looking forward to this unique transformation. Over the next three months, we will focus entirely on creativity and innovation to create an experience that immerses guests in what makes Flore so special,” explains Bas van Kranen.

Temporary pop-up restaurant Flore

For those who can’t wait that long, we have good news: from 5 February to 30 March, Flore will host a pop-up at Basecamp Amsterdam (formerly Unbound), located in the gardens of West. In an intimate setting (there is room for just 25 guests), you’ll dine in Flore’s signature style and gain a unique behind-the-scenes glimpse of the kitchen. Complete this memorable experience by booking an eco-cabin for an overnight stay.

Restaurant Flore is perfect for a special occasion

Restaurant Flore Amsterdam is not a place you visit casually – at least, most people wouldn’t. It’s the ideal venue for celebrating something special, enjoying an elaborate dinner with family, or having a luxurious date night. The pop-up of Restaurant Flore is perfect for an intimate date night, especially when you book an eco-cabin.
