Restaurant Boon en de Koot Amsterdam // Your Little Black Book

Good news for those who don’t live near Zoldering: Soon, the owners will also open a location in the Spaarndammerbuurt, near their wine shop Lof on Haarlemmerdijk. Discover everything we know about Restaurant Boon en de Koot Amsterdam, which will soon open its doors on Barentszstraat.

Ambience and interior at Restaurant Boon en de Koot Amsterdam

We all remember Wijncafé Worst: that spot on the somewhat deserted Barentszplein where they served great wines, and all the dishes revolved around… sausage. The interior of this place was a cosy chaos, with influences from France. And, of course, plenty of wine. Everywhere you looked, there was a bottle.

We hope that the owners of Zoldering at least keep the charming tiled floor, which gives the space so much character. The long bar and wine cabinets are also very cosy but could benefit from Zoldering flair. What it will look like exactly remains to be seen. But the Zeeheldenbuurt will certainly gain a hotspot.

Menu and dishes at Restaurant Boon en de Koot

At Worst, food was cooked/prepared from the bar, which meant you were literally in the middle of the action. Whether the new Restaurant Boon en de Koot will offer the same experience remains to be seen. However, we can at least expect a relaxed dining experience in an informal setting. The new spot is expected to be slightly less high-end than big sister Zoldering, which will likely attract a younger crowd. The countdown has begun!

Restaurant Boon en de Koot is perfect for a date night

The relaxed atmosphere, good food (as you would expect from Zoldering), and fine wines are expected to contribute to the perfect date night on the edge of the Houthavens.

Tip: these (new) restaurants can also be found near Zeeheldenbuurt
