I saw this stat last week that over 95% of Americans do not trust the DEA to be unbiased for cannabis rescheduling. Let that sink in. Nobody trusts the government, and why should they? The leadership is abysmal, and the money in everyone’s pockets is disgusting. We have become brazen about corruption ,just look at all the people who got pardoned for the insurrection on January 6th.
It appears that even the bankers are getting annoyed. They are already banking cannabis, but nobody is saying where, and perhaps they are ready to go public with that. Jamie Dimon, JP Morgan CEO noted last week, “We don’t bank marijuana companies because there’s no federal law around it…If there was a federal law, we probably would.” Is that his way of saying to the powers that be to get their shit together?
In a nascent business, nobody should be feeling long in the tooth. We will only know in the days and months ahead what the lunatics in DC decide to do next. Get ready for an onslaught of lawsuits from the multi-state operators who took the long road and are bleeding cash.
