We decided to eat at home on Sunday night, and spent Saturday morning at Marche Aligre. And nothing makes me happier than going to the farmers’ market. Marche Aligre is around the corner, and we did a little shopping before heading out for the day.

What to do today? Like NYC, there are countless museums and galleries to explore. We went to the Musée Maillol to see an exhibition of Robert Doisneau’s work. He kept over 450,000 photographs, and the curators got the show down to 350. He is one of France’s most notable photographers. Great show.

We strolled through the Tuilleries and across the Seine to get there. Walking in Paris is key.

Lunch was at a random cafe we found near Bon Marche, since we were on that side of the city. The Banh Mi sandwiches seem to be everywhere in Paris.

By the time we got back to the 11th, we needed a sweet. The bakery explosion has happened in Paris, too. This spot, Cakespot, is all about the cakes. Pistachio and Chocolate Banana.

This evening we went to Dandelion for dinner. They take their food and sourcing seriously. When the owner described the menu in English, I wanted to record him. He eloquently spoke about each item on the menu, where it came from, and how it was prepared.

This is our second time back. It has been hit and miss, but we would still return. They make a martini (big score for me), and the location is absolutely beautiful.

We walked back as the city was going crazy watching the soccer match of Paris vs. Milan. We popped into a local bar with a TV that wasn’t insanely packed, and watched the end of the game. A win for Paris, and the streets went wild for hours! We were here during the World Cup a few years ago, and it was the same thing. So fun.

On Sunday, we always go to the Paul Bert/Puces Market. We needed two pairs of lamps, and if you spend enough time there, you can find them. Besides the farmers market, this is one of our favorite things to do. We have picked up countless goodies over the years from the market.

Lunch is always at Bonne Adventure. The food is creative and delicious, and so very Parisian. Make a resy!

Back to chill, made dinner, and figured out the week ahead.

I love the rooftops of Paris, and of course, we love Paris.
