Blood had pooled all around her as this beautiful dog battled for her life, after sustaining a head injury, struck in the head by a passing vehicle.
After rescue, we saw that the blood had come from a wound inside her nose, causing profuse nose bleeding, and we could see air expanding the tissue of her face between her eyes as her breaths drew air into and out through her nasal passages. When this wound healed, the rising and falling of her nose just between her eyes had stopped.
She has survived the crisis of damage to her nose, but we would have to wait and see if she would recover from brain swelling. Wow, it was worth the wait. What a happy lady is Martha now!
