Boulder Media, the award-winning Irish animation studio behind My Little Pony: A New Generation, The Amazing World of Gumball and Danger Mouse, is set to unveil its latest magical adventure series, Wizzos, at Cartoon Forum 2025 in Toulouse, France. The series will be pitched on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Purple Room.
A Town Full of Wizards…Except for Two
Wizzos is a high-energy comedy series with lots of heart. It tells the story of Hexley and Spellbert, two brothers living in the magical town of Wizzoville. With 302 inhabitants, 300 possess magical powers — the two brothers do not. Struggling to find their place in a town where everyone else is a wizard, they take on the role of missing pet finders to impress their dad, who just happens to be the Mayor of Wizzoville, the top Wizzo in town.
Irish Talent on the Global Stage
Wizzos is one of seven Irish projects selected to participate in Cartoon Forum 2025, Europe’s premier co-production and financing event for animated projects. Held annually in Toulouse, the forum brings together top creators, broadcasters and investors from around the world.
Created by Stephen McGann, the series is written by Ciaran Morrison and Mick O’Hara, directed by Paul O’Flanagan, and executive produced by Colm Tyrrell, a team with extensive experience in crafting engaging, visually striking animation for young audiences.
