The last minute Christmas rush is pretty much upon us but it’s not too late to create completely custom Christmas Cards to send to family and friends. Send them by email or take them to your local department store print on demand service if actual, physical Christmas cards is more your style.
Reallusion’s Cartoon Animator 5 is perfect for creating fun, Christmas themed cartoons, like my running joke above, with the cast of Resident Dragon, confronting Santa each year with TET’s Christmas gift ‘guide’.
The Annual Last Minute Christmas Resource List
This list is something of an annual event too, where I run through various Christmas themed products that caught my eye in Reallusion’s, Cartoon Animator Marketplace this year.
If creating unique holiday images (and animations of course) with Cartoon Animator is something you want to do, then save yourself a bunch of time with pre-made content you can purchase, which will support creators just like you this festive season.
Note that I am not affiliated with any of these developers and no correspondence was entered into when deciding what to include in this list. These products are just what caught my attention. I do try to feature developers I haven’t featured previously. Be sure to also check out each developer’s Marketplace store.
Santa Goes In by GCR
A classically funny animation of Santa going head first down a chimney. This one could easily by used alongside a funny quote all by itself but if you need that scene of Santa going down a chimney, all the animation is done for you with this pack.
Christmas Snow Street by tycoonkishore
Everything you need to recreate a classic, outdoor, winter street scene at Christmas time. The flat, graphical style gives a slightly more upmarket feel.
I’m not exactly sure what Gum Santa is (is it actual ‘gum’?) but if you have leanings toward the unusual this might be for you. If not, check out Pent’s store for lot’s of great holiday backdrops (and regular backdrops too) for your projects.
Primarily designed as a Christmas character with her lovely Holiday themed outfit however, thanks to the magic of SVG color management this versatile character can be recolored with outfits for any time of the year.
Yes I’m plugging my free course which comes with Santa and Grinch characters and backgrounds, and links to AI Santa and Grinch voices you can access for free. Learn how to rig a Santa or Grinch and then animate them in your Christmas message.
