Crunchyroll Industry Panel Summary: News On “Black Clover” And Hiromu Arakawa’s New Anime

Anime Expo 2025 wrapped up this past week, but the excitement from its latest announcements and exclusive reveals is still going strong. Crunchyroll’s annual Industry Panel treated fans to both highly anticipated returns and brand new titles.

Most notably, Black Clover was officially confirmed to return, streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll. Studio Pierrot, known for Naruto and Bleach, will once again produce the new season. With this announcement, attending fans witnessed the new teaser trailer, key visual, and a special 10th anniversary message from the original creator, Yuki Tabata.

Tabata told fans “The production of the long-awaited new anime season of Black Clover has been confirmed! I’m beyond ecstatic going into the new anime season after the super-passionate movie that came out! Thanks to all of you, Black Clover is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! I definitely plan to keep this hype going! I want fans from Japan and all around the world to enjoy the powered-up anime that’s going to be brought to you by the most awesome anime production staff! Thank you so much for supporting Black Clover!”

Following up with even more major news, president of studio Bones Masahiko Minami took the stage to announce the next anime from Hiromu Arakawa—the writer and illustrator behind Fullmetal Alchemist. The anime will be adapted from Arakawa’s manga Daemons of the Shadow Realm. Masahiro Ando, recognized for Sword of the Stranger, was confirmed to be the upcoming anime’s director with the recent teaser trailer. Describing the anime, Ando called it “an otherworldly fantasy where mystery and the uncanny intertwine.”

Yusuke Kobayashi, the lead voice actor in Re:Zero Starting in Another World, joined the stage to announce that the series will return with season 4, streaming only on Crunchyroll in 2026. The all-new teaser trailer was revealed early to panel attendees. Studio White Fox has been confirmed to be producing the latest season, with Masahiro Shinohara returning as the series director following the end of season 3.

Additionally coming in 2026 are the next season of the fantasy series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and the debut of the rom-com You and I Are Polar Opposites, along with many other exciting releases. Fans can mark their calendars for October 2025 and January 2026 as more releases are on their way to Crunchyroll!
