Heung-min Son has disclosed that because of Tottenham Hotspur’s busy schedule, Ange Postecoglou has been benching him.
To prevent pushing his best players to the limit and suffering still more injuries, the Australian is being extremely cautious with them.
Although the South Korean’s health has been questioned, the Spurs captain asserts that he is in the best physical condition of his life.
“As I’ve stated time and time again, I’m in excellent physical condition,” Son told the Korean media. I think I’m in my finest physical condition ever.
“I believe my club management took those choices to improve the circumstances because we’ve played so many games.
“I feel fantastic personally, and there aren’t any problems at all. It is important for me to stress that I am in excellent health.
What is Heung-min Son’s latest playing time?
Son has been benched in half of the last six games across all competitions, and he has only played one set of ninety minutes.
Postecoglou swiftly decided he needed his captain on the field, and the winger was brought in at halftime in league games against Fulham and Bournemouth.
