Aru Majo ga Shinu Made – Episode 3 – Inori and Meg Makes a Wish

Meg relaxing with Faust away from home.

Faust is out for a week-long conference; thus, another sage comes to check on Meg.

Meg becomes annoyed that a witch her age is also a sage.

As expected, Meg lies on the couch watching the news and eating buns. She is all along as Faust goes to North America. Meg saw Sophie Hayter on TV, turned it off, and got upset about why Sophie gets all the attention. It’s funny how Meg asks why she isn’t one of the Seven Sages. It’s weird how Meg’s pet creatures turn their faces away.

A lady used her smelly feet to wake Meg up.
Inori, the Witch of Wisdom.

Eventually, when Meg woke up, a lady had her foot on Meg’s face, which was stinky. Meg was about to throw up when the witch lady got upset. Her name is Inori, and she Is one of the seven sages, the Witch of Wisdom. She looks like a witch, but Meg doesn’t seem to like how smelly she is. Inori is here to check on Meg since Faust is assigned to investigate magic changing the ecosystem. She worries more about the house than Meg, so Faust asks Inori to do this.

Meg complained that she has to clear out a backyard.
She becomes upset when the mint plant overgrew.

Inori asks about Meg about the herbs. Meg uses them as an analeptic since she knows how tired Inori is after the conference. You might be wondering why Meg knows about these herbs. During Meg’s childhood, Faust has her clear out a run-down forest behind the house. Meg said she was busy but eventually worked in the woods for 10 years. Meg got an herb garden out of it, too. Inori seems impressed by Meg’s efforts to make it the way it is given the environment. However, Inori thinks humans meddle with nature too much, and people think they can fix it with magic.

Meg remembers when the mint plant overwhelmed the patch, and she cried when Faust warned her that it would become a weed if it grew too much. Meg wants to burn it down, but Faust says that everything in life has uniqueness and a way of life. Meg has to adapt to it and not force everything she wants to do. It might be the case that if you clear all the plants, the magic flows to large objects and eventually go out of control. Meg is not sure what to do with this power since she said people can die at any time. Meg’s weird answers about her future are when Inori discovers the curse Meg has after hearing her funny answers.

Meg is really having fun washing Inori’s legs and feet.
At least Inori’s feet is no longer smelly.
Meg makes a wish.

Meg had a lot of fun washing Inori’s feet and legs. Yep, it looks like she is having a lot of fun. Of course, Inori reveals that she wants Meg to be a pharmacist assistant after Meg finishes her apprenticeship. Inori also gave Meg a nice meteor show, which made her realize the potential of magic is limitless. That is despite her setback of not having many teardrops. With that, Meg figured out her wish. Of course, when Faust returns, Inori reveals that she wants to make Meg her assistant after she finishes with her.

With Faust hiring her back, Meg has to get along with Sophie, whom she is jealous of.

Towards the end, it appears that Faust hurt her back. An Otherworld Festival, which happens annually, is about to happen, and Faust is supposed to release the magic power to reduce the excess with a nice light show. Meg simply can’t cancel it, so Faust asks someone to take her place. Yep, it’s Sophie, and it’s funny how Meg doesn’t notice her as she lit the fireplace. Yes, Sophie is the one she is jealous of, but Faust allows her to stay at her house for a few days by taking her place during the festival. Faust intends to use this to have Meg learn more about the festival. It makes me wonder if Meg can get along with Sophie. We’ll see soon enough.
