Tickets are not yet available to book, but they will become available to purchase through the BFI IMAX website on 24th July 2025 at 4pm BST.

As a reminder Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing is an animated film based upon the Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! Mobile Game, which is developed by Colorful Palette, and follows the story of Ichika as he tries to help a Miku sing within the SEKAI. The film is animated by P.A. Works, and will screen across the UK and Ireland from 31st August 2025. A special microsite is also available where fans can register interest.

Synopsis: Ichika is a high school musician who can enter a mysterious place called “SEKAI,” where she and her friends express their innermost emotions through music alongside Hatsune Miku. One day after giving a live performance, Ichika meets a new Miku that she has never seen before. No matter how hard this new Miku tries to sing, she struggles connecting with the hearts of her listeners. Miku must rely on the help of others to find a way to sing again.

It is expected that the film will be screened in Japanese with English subtitles, but specific details have yet to be confirmed. Those interested in making it an “anime day” at the BFI IMAX in London may also be interested to know that both dubbed and subbed versions of Princess Mononoke are also expected to screen on the same day before and after this special event which is taking place on 28th August 2025 at 6pm BST
