A collection of some of the most foul criminals known to mankind are imprisoned in an alternate dimension where they develop strange eldritch powers.
Zigg’s verdict: Burn the Witch
Anybody who has anything more than a passing knowledge of the Precure franchise will know that the real evil that the Cures have to battle is not whatever nebulous dark organisation that are the designated villains, but instead the cute cuddly mascot who is invariably a nightmare garbage person. Let’s just reflect on some of the many problematic companions we’ve had down the years shall we?
Mepple – Gaslights and psychologically torments an academically challenged teenage girl
Coco – Groomed and married his own student
Mofurun – Self-admittedly a witch
Hugtan – Illegal time traveller
Latte – Classic case of Munchausen Syndrome
Kururun – Aided and abetted a jailbreak
Tsubasa – Got engaged to an infant
Komugi – Piece of shit
Purirun – Openly flaunts filming restrictions
Petitcure supposes that all of these monstrous beings have been transported to a parallel universe. Although it resembles a funfair, it’s clear that it must be far more than that, given that Porun and Mofurun demonstrate that this is a space in which thought can become reality with barely an effort. Perhaps they are trapped in a dimension of pure id, or have been transposed into energy beings? Already we see the darker undertones of the story come to the fore, as Mofurun, gripped by rage and hatred, attempts to capture Kururun in a curious ring-shaped restraint device. It’s sure to all end in tears, mark my words.
Anyway it’s pretty cute I guess.
