Guild no Uketsukejou Zangyou wa Iya – Episode 12 (END) – Alina Saves Glen, for One Reason Alone

Sure, Glen didn’t become full dark god, but stopping him is a bit tough, but not impossible.

Glen fails to revive his daughter with the Dark God Orb as it starts to consume him. However, he is not under the orb’s influence yet, so Alina and Silver Sword can save him. After all, Alina has something that Glen has yet to give her.

Lululee and Lowe combine their powers to help Jade.

Glen might be lucky that the dark god orb didn’t fully activate. While the tendencies of the dark god wanting the souls of adventurers didn’t take effect, this gives Alina and Jade hope that they can bring him back. Indeed, Glen beat the weakest to the strongest, basically in the order of Lululee, Lowe, Jade, and Alina.

At last, Alina does the finishing blow to Glen.
Well, Glen forgot that Alina can break into his time stopping.

Of course, the beatdown is part of the plan as they combine their powers, powering up Jade to dodge Glen’s sword attacks. That is while Lowe uses his icicle attack to create a fog, giving Alina an opening. Of course, she is relentless, and Glen’s Dia powers can’t save him. Did he forget that Alina can break into his time-stopping power?

Well, Glen loses an arm from this, which shows that he didn’t escape the consequences of his actions.

Most importantly, Alina wants Dark God Glenn to return to his old self as she has something that she wants Glen to do. Yep, it’s to end her overtime, and she hasn’t forgotten Glen’s promise. That is, saying that the idea of Glenn giving up his life and trying to bring back Lynn is stupid. After all, Alina lost someone close, but she continued to move and even made new friends.

Alina of course has to do more overtime after dealing with Glen.
Alina only saved Glen so he upholds his end of the bargain.
Yep, Lululee has to help Alina with her overtime.

After bringing Glen back to normal and having the orb ejected from his body, Alina goes back to overtime. As expected, she had Silver Sword to do the overtime. After all, the idea of dealing with overtime is to ask for help. Seeing Lululee complain about the stack of papers she has to do is funny.

That said, they eventually visited Glen in the hospital as he recovered. Of course, he lost an arm because of using the Dark God Orb. However, when Jade asks about something the dark gods told Glenn, he seizes up. Yep, the Dark Gods don’t want him to reveal the obvious. Alina revealed that she only saved Glen because she was waiting for him to uphold his side of the bargain.

Final Thoughts

I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time is a fun show primarily because of Alina. Yep, I, too, want to live a life of having a stable job and being able to have a life without doing overtime. Sadly, Alina gets shoved with a lot of overtime, and it’s funny to see her get upset. Eventually, she takes things into her own hands to end it temporarily with her overpowered hammer. It’s at least nice to see an overpowered female main character, given the sea of overpowered male leads in Isekai shows.

That said, the setting is interesting regarding the gods and, of course, behind the scenes, Glen trying to get a hold of those powers. Sure, it’s happy to see Alina happy, but she is also angry when something causes her to do overtime, and she must take matters into her own hands. While Jade is okay, I don’t care about his crush on Alina for apparent reasons. It’s just too bad Liala never finds out that “The Executioner,” whom she has a crush on, is Alina. Seeing her weld the hammer is badass. That said, I won’t mind another season if it happens.
