As part of the Beauty and Melancholy Season at the Japan House in London, the venue will be screening five different Makoto Shinkai films, over the course of five months, with each film being available to watch for FREE.
The films will only be screened on selected dates, with one film being each shown across two different dates:
- 9 and 25 February 2025: 5 Centimeters per Second
- 19 and 23 March 2025: Children Who Chase Lost Voices
- 13 and 23 April 2025: The Garden of Words
- 11 and 28 May 2025: Your Name
- 8 and 18 June 2025: Weathering With You
Tickets will be available for FREE, but require to be booked, from the Japan House in London website with tickets available to book 2 weeks prior to each film being shown. For instance, tickets for the screenings of 5 Centimeters Per Second are currently available to book online.
As a reminder all five of these films are available on Blu-Ray in the UK via Anime Limited. The latest Makoto Shinkai film, Suzume, is available on Blu-Ray via Crunchyroll (and can also be streamed on both Crunchyroll and Netflix) in the UK.
