Marvel Studios: 6 MCU Series Confirmed for Disney+ in 2026


Marvel Studios continues to expand its universe, with numerous Disney+ projects set to premiere in 2026. With the confirmation of X-Men ’97 Season 2 joining the slate, the lineup for the year is growing. As 2025 progresses, Marvel has mapped out at least six major series and specials for Disney+ in 2026, alongside its theatrical releases.

MCU Disney+ Projects for 2026

1. The Punisher

Marvel Studios recently confirmed that The Punisher will be receiving a Special Presentation on Disney+ in 2026. Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle, marking his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following his appearance in Daredevil: Born Again.

Bernthal is also co-writing the special alongside Reinaldo Marcus Green, known for his work on King Richard, who will serve as the director. According to Marvel’s head of television, Brad Winderbaum, the upcoming special will deliver a “shotgun blast of a story” infused with intense action and deep emotional themes.

2. Wonder Man

Wonder Man, which is set to debut its first season in December 2025, will conclude its run in early 2026. The series consists of eight episodes, as confirmed by Winderbaum in an interview with Collider.

The show will explore a superhero’s journey in the entertainment industry, following Simon Williams (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), an actor and stuntman who unexpectedly gains superpowers. This Hollywood-inspired MCU project will provide a fresh, comedic take on superhero storytelling.

3. Daredevil: Born Again (Season 2)

Following the highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, which premieres in March 2025, the second season is set for 2026. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that this season will premiere alongside The Punisher Special Presentation.

Season 2 will further explore Frank Castle’s role, potentially linking to his Disney+ special. The storyline is expected to delve deeper into Kingpin’s rise as New York’s mayor and his anti-vigilante campaign, putting him in direct conflict with Matt Murdock.

Additionally, Deborah Ann Woll has confirmed her return as Karen Page, while Elden Henson’s portrayal of Foggy Nelson remains uncertain, sparking speculation about his character’s fate.

4. Vision Quest

Vision Quest is a WandaVision spin-off that follows White Vision as he regains his memories and seeks to understand his identity. The series is being developed by Terry Matalas, known for Star Trek: Picard, and is set to begin filming early this year for a 2026 release.

The confirmed cast includes:

  • Paul Bettany as Vision
  • James Spader as Ultron
  • Ruaridh Mollica and Todd Stashwick in undisclosed roles

Additionally, Faran Tahir will make history as the first MCU character to return after nearly two decades, reprising his Iron Man role as Raza, leader of the Ten Rings.

5. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Season 2)

Following the success of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Season 2 is already in development. Brad Winderbaum expressed enthusiasm for annual releases of the animated series, though he hinted at a longer gap between Seasons 1 and 2. While the exact release date remains uncertain, the show is still expected to premiere sometime in 2026.

6. X-Men ’97 (Season 2)

During an interview with Collider, Brad Winderbaum confirmed that X-Men ’97 Season 2 will arrive in 2026. The animated revival of the beloved 90s X-Men series has been well-received, making its second season highly anticipated.

While the show recently underwent story and script changes due to the firing of showrunner Beau DeMayo, most of the original creative team and composers (The Newton Brothers) will continue working on the project.

Additional Marvel Studios Projects in 2026

Apart from the Disney+ projects, Marvel Studios has an ambitious theatrical slate for 2026, which includes:

  • Two untitled MCU films – February 13 and November 6, 2026 (subject to change)

While no production updates have surfaced for the February 2026 film, the November slot remains open for potential development in the coming months.

Before these 2026 projects debut, Marvel Studios’ next Disney+ release will be Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, premiering on March 4, 2025.
