Luffy uses York’s Den Den Mushi to talk to the Five Elders and tries to make a deal—he’ll spare York if they let him leave Egghead with Vegapunk. The call gets cut short by Robin when Luffy almost slips up and mentions the crew has injuries. Afterward, the Straw Hats send food down to the agents locked in the basement, where they’ve also trapped the four Seraphim in bubbles. S-Snake admits she reversed Franky’s petrification because she fell for Luffy, just like Hancock did.
The crew starts putting their escape plan together: use a spaceship to clear Egghead’s airspace, then launch themselves with the Sunny’s Coup de Burst toward Elbaph. Problem is, York locked them out of the Frontier Dome and won’t give up the code. So Vegapunk, Atlas, and Edison work on cracking it.
Kizaru vs Sentomaru
Meanwhile, Lucci secretly tells the Five Elders that the Straw Hats are stuck inside the Dome, giving the Marines the green light to attack Fabiriophase. They move in, aim their weapons at the Sea Beast Weapons, and Sentomaru gets the Pacifistas ready to defend. Kizaru figures out he can bypass the Dome thanks to his light powers, but holds back out of respect—he wants to fight Sentomaru first. The battle kicks off, and the Straw Hats see the flash of light, realizing their enemies are closing in.
Opinion:
I don’t think Luffy’s “threats”, on York’s life is going to convince the Five Elders of anything. First, I think they know enough about Luffy’s personality to understand that he won’t do anything to harm York. More importantly, I don’t think the Elders and the Government care about York at all. If Luffy was capable of killing York they would just sacrifice her. Vegapunk is too much of a threat and I’m starting to feel like he might not survive. However, he seems like the type to have assumed his own death and probably has a plan for when he dies. Or at least I hope he does.
