I don’t wanna be a victim of the moment but I think One Piece is hands down the best animated series out. I’ve heard that some people think that it’s “over animated”, particularly the ” use of aura, lasers, and rainbow effects”. I’ll admit it can be difficult to make out some parts of the scene due to details and the speed of the animation. Regardless, this animation is spectacular. I haven’t developed sophisticated language to describe why this animation is so great but I find the fluid moment and the muted colors to be a major part of the reason.
Anyway these episodes are mostly action as Bonney attacks the Marines, Zoro and Rob Lucci face off, and of course Luffy and Kizaru. Bonney use of her abilities switching between ages, to evade attacks, and using her devil fruit to also change the marines from infants to the elderly. Lucci and Zoro square off. This feels like a more balanced fight than Lucci and Luffy. That said, I think that Zoro is still stronger. There fight is high action, as Lucci uses his speed to strike from the forest, while Zoro deflects with his swords.
Saint Saturn makes his scary appearance
The main event is Luffy verses Kizaru. After Luffy throws Kizaru, he uses his light powers to avoid falling into the sea. Kizaru’s personality is one of the most enjoyable parts of him. He’s so nonchalant and doesn’t seem bothered by anything. He launches a light attack that blinds Luffy then splits into clones. I still love the “looney toons” style Joyboy brings, it never gets old. Kizaru knows he can’t defeat Luffy so he takes the opportunity to avoid him and attack Dr. Vegapunk. When he attacks, Luffy swallows his light attack. This given Dr. Vegapunk a chance to escape.
One Piece episode 1128 is more of the same action from the previous episode. However, the most dramatic and important part was the arrive of one of the Elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. It seems like the Celestial Dragon was waiting on that boat for ten episodes. His entrance was spectacular and haunting. The Elders seem demonic in their abilities. Saturn has the power of the Mythical Zoan-type Gyuki, which is a yokai from Japanese folklore. They usually have and ox head and spider like body. He frightening and Luffy has run out of gas. Bonney, Dr. Vegapunk, and the Strawhat hats are in grave danger.
