The S-Ranked Hunters first dominate against the hordes of ants. Working in tandem with each other to kill them. The Hunters outside are slaughtered, however, being decapitated by the ant king. Inside the cave, the other S-Ranked Hunters face a large white ant, the Ant Queen, that’s surrounded by the a massive number of smaller red ants. The S-Ranked Hunters are able to show off the variety of their abilities. This fight is broadcasted to the rest of the world.
The Ant Queen puts up a better fight, but is ultimately defeated by the combined forces of the Hunter. It uses poison but one mage cures it. The ant manages to weather a massive fire attack Cha Hae-In takes center stage, using her speed and ultimate attack to decapitate the Ant Queen. Killing the Queen has consequences. All the Ants begin returning to the nest. The audience rejoices in their victory. However, when the Ant King appears things take a turn for the worst.
The aura causes Hae-In to collapse due to her mana sensitivity. The Ant King is angered after seeing the corpse of the Ant Queen. He turns his rage on the Hunters, starting with Hae-In. He knocks her into a pillar, crushing her side. The mage hides himself, while healing the others. It only manages to prolong the fight. The Ant King pierces the mage from behind and bites his head off. To the shock of the Hunters, the Ant King can speak. He heads outside to face Goto, while sending more Ants in.
The Ant King prepares to face Goto Ryuji, as the episode ends. So far the Ant King has slaughtered several S-Ranked Hunters, particularly the Japanese. The Ant King has displayed the ability, Gluttony. Allowing him to absorb the language and abilities of someone he eats. This ability is important for the Ant King’s evolution. The S-Ranked Hunters are clearly outmatched, leaving the only option left, Jinwoo.
