Jinwoo has managed to acquire 2 of the craft materials for the Elixir of Life. The “purified demon king’s blood”, is the final craft material. The problem he has now is his ranking is ‘E’, and he needs to be able to participate in higher-level raids. He decides to have his ranking reassessed. As Jinwoo is getting tested an “error” message keeps appearing. The director arrives and explains that Jinwoo’s magical power has “exceeded the machine’s limit”. This means that Jinwoo is the countries tenth S-Rank Hunter.
Jinwoo is the tenth S-Rank Hunter
Chou Jong-in, the representative of the Hunters Guild and Woo Jinchul, the current Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association take interest in Jinwoo. However, Jinwoo doesn’t seem interested in having a conversation with Jong-in. Baek enters the lobby while Hyun fills Jinwoo in on what happened. Choi watches closely and realizes Baek wants to speak with Jinwoo.
Choi’s convinced Jinwoo is the outsider who cleared the Red Gate. Afterward, Jinwoo visits his mother at the hospital. When he steps out of her room, he spots Woo nearby. Woo introduces him to Go, who congratulates Jinwoo on reaching S-Rank. Go says he doesn’t need a machine to know Jinwoo earned it.
Go tries to recruit Jinwoo for his association, warning that if Jinwoo joins one of the five major guilds, it’ll disrupt the balance. Jinwoo turns him down, saying he’d rather keep fighting magic beasts in dungeons. Go respects his decision, and Jinwoo takes his leave.
Mining and the Dancer, Cha Hae-In
Dongsoo and the deputy chief discuss his fight with Sung II-Hwan, Jinwoo’s father. Dongsoo argues that II-Hwan is a “magic beast”. While people are looking for him, Dongsoo is certain that II-Hwan won’t get caught. Dongsoo recalls II-Hwan telling him to “leave his family alone”.
Elsewhere, Jinwoo researches “artifacts”. They’re man-made relics of high quality that can’t be made by any craftsmen. He needs perfect gear when he tackles the Demon Castle again, however, the artifacts are expensive. He decides to join as mining crew. Mining teams collect materials like mana crystals and the corpses of the magical beast. An assault team heads in first, kills the beast, then the mining crew heads in.
Choi took the lead in the dungeon and defeated the magical beasts with a powerful fire attack. We get a glimpse of another S-Rank Hunter, the Dancer, Cha Hae-In.
