Last time, Haruka, Ayaka, Minami and Hina decides to do a doubles match. Of course, Hina sees this match as against Haruka as she doesn’t have much faith in Minam, given how unskilled she is. That is until she saw her golf in action.
As expected, Haruka and Ayaka faces off against Hina and Minami. Hina, of course, boasts about the first stroke she makes on the first hole. However, when Hina saw Minami’s Penguin Slider, it didn’t go far, and she wondered why Haruka was associated with a girl like this. It’s only when Haruka did her shot that she became amazed.
Of course, this is not the only instance in which Hina looks down on Minami’s golfing skills. However, Haruka mentions to Hina that they are playing doubles, meaning they can see things differently than golfing alone. In short, Hina will see the different kinds of golf around her. However, she doesn’t seem to care about this thing except for her balls. That is until she finds out she must choose the same team member’s tee shots.
When Hina discovers this fact, she says that this won’t be a big deal as she can stage a comeback. She hoped that Minami wouldn’t make a big mistake, Minami did, and Hina got frustrated. When Minami lays down a mini penguin thing as a ball marker, Hina gets upset. Hina wants Minami to be serious about golfing when Minami says it’s Ayaka’s and Haruka’s suggestion.
Also, Hina doesn’t allow Minami to help, although Minami tries her best to get along with Hina. Of course, it reminds Hina of overhearing students saying that she is being too hyperconscious. That is when Hina, at a Par 3 course as Hina’s ball, fell into the lake as she fell a little short of reaching the green. Minami shows the less risky way to get to the green, and Hina eventually chooses it. That is only when Hina started to understand. Right before it began to rain, the maid took out the umbrella.
Haruka finally tells why she stopped doing tournaments. Haruka doesn’t want to end up hating golf. She practiced every day as she wanted to win no matter what, but she got irritated when things didn’t go well. When she went to US Amateurs, she got scared in the final putt, feeling that she messed up and her efforts would go to waste.
As a result, she couldn’t grip the golf club, and Ayaka kept asking to take her on a round. They, of course, remember the time they went golfing with each other for the first time, which allowed her to rediscover it. That is compared to Hina, who believes it’s a sport that one plays alone. From this, Minami wants to see more of how Hina plays golf.
As for the rest of the round, Haruka almost managed to get her chance of obtaining an eagle. That is, until the wind picks up and causes the ball to fall into the bunker. While it seems disappointing, it is not too surprising since the weather can change. But at the last hole, Hina almost had the ball in, but it felt too short. I find it funny how Hina had a temper tantrum over it despite being a good put. In other words, Hina loses against Haruka while Minami tries to comfort her, but she refuses and tells her to stop calling her Hinapyo.
Sure, Hina losing against Haruka made her sad. Haruka asks Hina what the path of playing with a novice is like. At least Hina admits she has a different perspective on playing golf with others. At the same time, Haruka acknowledges that she likes golf more because of Ayaka and Minami. With that, as Hina is about to depart, she promises to beat Haruka next time. From the look of the preview, Minami playing a round of her own? We’ll see how it turns out in the next episode.
