At least SOMEBODY eventually got stabbed.
Impressions:
I think the best parts of this episode were definitely when the truly godawful CGI would show up out of absolutely nowhere. It was always so terrible. What on earth were they thinking? Well, it was probably just the obvious complete lack of any sort of budget. Those were also some of the few sort of animated parts of the episode. Which is impressive since there were a couple stabbings and a giant cannon, but even the cannon required ten minutes of ranting about the glory of the empire from all manner of randoms.
Then we get to the script, which continues to be total nonsense. They flew straight at the castle, prompting an entire army to respond along with firing the big cannon, as part of a plan to… magically turn the cannon’s beam into water so they could sneak in the sewer? I think you could’ve skipped some steps here. They find the okama dude again, who breaks down in tears before they all dress up as women in order to stare at the evil guy from last week until he starts stabbing. Again, you could’ve skipped a few steps here, but I guess then you wouldn’t have had a scene where he did their makeup just right. Gotta wait until next week for the actual full explanation of the master plan, but I’m pretty certain it’s just going to be the same as the one from last week.
