What Is The Limiter?! – QTA

There is only one way to be funny, sexy, and strong… and that is.. to lose a LOT of hair. And there is ONLY one man who achieved it all… Saitama

He awakened a strength equal to that of a divine entity. A power that breaks through the LIMIT imposed by ‘GOD!’

Though, what are these MYSTERIOUS limits?

Is this what a Limiter is?!

Monsters

His strength transcended the boundaries of human comprehension—yeah, none of us can understand it.

In Chapter 89, it was actually the concept called the ‘limiter,’ explained by Dr. Genus, where he explained that “No matter how much an organism strives, there are limits to its growth.”

Why? ‘Cause having too much power can be a problem. When people turn into monsters, they lose themselves, and go insane.

To avoid this, GOD created the ‘limiter’ so humanity can preserve their sanity.

Does that mean MONSTERS already removed their limiter?

No…

When humans transform into monsters (aka monsterization), it happens due to an INTENSE buildup of frustration caused by unfulfilled desires

This is caused by psychological issues, bad habits, and various factors from their past. Just like these guys who’ve been bullied online and turn themselves into monsters.

Or this dude that ate too much crab and turned him into a crab.

Some humans transform due to the power of science, while others evolve through exposure to pollution

Meaning humans that turned into monsters are reborn as new creatures, but they maintain their limiters.

Monsterization was also explained by Psykos. She explained that she tried multiple ways to achieve monsterization such as:

Cannibalism, blood transfusion, and many more… Yeah, she’s crazy!

To achieve this transformation more quickly, the most effective method is… Death

Humans must repeatedly overcome death to accelerate the process of monsterization.

One of the best examples: Orochi and Garou.

But did Garou break his limiter?

During his battle against Darkshine, it was mentioned that “Garou’s limiter is starting to break.”

Due to his intense desire to become an incarnation of despair… Garou slowly turned into a monster.

While fighting against Saitama he experienced extreme frustration that led to multiple transformations.

Then, ‘GOD’ intervenes, granting Garou a power that poses a threat to all life on Earth. Merely through his presence, no human can withstand his cosmic radiation.

There are only two heroes who can fight this ‘Awakened Divinity’: one is Blast, and the other, who really delivered the beating, is Saitama.

In their battle on Io, Garou, even with his god-like powers, couldn’t keep up with Saitama. Despite trying repeatedly to match Saitama’s strength and fighting back with equal force, Garou couldn’t overcome him. Saitama’s growth had increased dramatically, making him impossible to defeat.

In the end, no matter what godly powers Garou had, Saitama just whooped his ass.

In theory, Garou came close to breaking the ‘limiter’ but he failed due to his emotions.

In case you’re curious, check out Garou’s powerful quotes.

Heroes

In contrast to monsters, heroes have developed their talents through hard work, some have enhanced their abilities with the power of science, and others were simply born with them.

They might have achieved such superhuman abilities, but none of them surpassed their ‘limiter’—except for one man…

He was a normal person living an ordinary lifestyle and had no particular talent.

Yet, through hard work alone, he shattered his limiter

With his hardcore training, we witnessed his unfathomable power: he kicked through portals, destroyed Jupiter’s moon, and with a single sneeze, he destroyed a planet! (Manga Chapter 166)

Saitama shows that every human being has the potential to be extraordinaryNothing is impossible.

The Strongest Man

What if I told you that there are two possible heroes other than Saitama who might have also removed their limiter?

You might have heard that he once saved humanity by time-traveling to destroy a swarm of meteorites.

He also soared into the sky with a bomb capable of annihilating the entire solar system and cast it into a giant black hole.

He is a man who can vanquish monsters without laying a finger on them, the most powerful man on Earth: KING.

KINGKING

These heroic feats are just a HUGE MISTAKE… or are they?

According to a theory, what if King unlocked a different type of limiter?

If Saitama pushed himself to the absolute limits of human strength, King, facing life-threatening situations, may have removed his limiter in a different way…

Could it be that King surpassed the limits of… LUCK?

One of the best examples is when King was standing over the group of the strongest monsters, and destroyed them with just one hit of his ‘ultimate power,’ but actually, it was Garou who totally trashed the monsters.

Or when he was targeted for assassination. The assassins misunderstood everything he said. They interpreted his words as threats or warnings. In the end, the assassins all agreed not to mess with him and even decided to change their lives.

Meanwhile, King just assumed they were after his autograph.

Even his fellow heroes misunderstood him, and one of them decided to test him.

Kamikaze, aka Atomic Samurai, challenged King to a fight. They mistakenly thought King was about to fight the samurai with a chopstick. Actually… King panicked and got choked.

Outside, as the two heroes almost fight, King thinks of a bluff to avoid the one-on-one battle, and it works!!!

Kamikaze still wanted to see King’s true power. Therefore, the samurai requested King to cut the apple, explaining that he can discern a person’s life by observing their technique in slicing something with a sword.

Left with no choice, King sat down, picked up the sword, and then immediately put it down.

Everybody is confused… Then Atomic Samurai explained that King moved so fast and fluidly that he never saw him strike. Even the APPLE didn’t know it’s been cut.

BUT the thing is… King couldn’t actually pull out the katana!

The theory suggests that the more King sets himself to more dangerous situations the luckier he gets… Whatever his power is, I still love this guy.

Zombie

The other hero who might’ve had a chance to remove his limiter is Zombieman

Zombie manZombie man

In chapter 190, he asks Dr. Genus to remove his limiter, and it seems the doctor knows how ‘cause he mentioned wanting to show something interesting in his basement.

Wait, I thought Dr. Genus had already given up on his research?

Oooooh, I think he stopped his work on artificial evolution, and maybe he’s now focused on new studies about overcoming the limiter.

‘GOD’

If ‘God’ created the ‘limiter’ to protect humanity from going insane, does that make ‘God’ good or evil

0151 0310151 031

If he is good, why did he kill the Homeless Emperor and try to control Garou

Because I believe there are multiple gods in OPM, maybe some are good and some are evil.

In Chapter 164, you’ll see Garou mention, “Something that can counter The Fist has turned against the gods. I guess that’d be the fist of gods” (Manga Chapter 164)

onepunch man 164 45onepunch man 164 45

BTW…. WHO’s the Fist?

The ‘Fist that turned against the gods’ may refer to a being who has attained a power capable of rivaling the gods, and this is clearly Saitama. In response, the gods required their own ‘fists’ or avatars to destroy him, but they failed.

That’s why I think the cosmic being we saw on the moon is one of those evil gods, and it is currently waiting for the next suitable vessel to challenge our hero.

Now, I’ve just realized something: what if the gods created the limiter not to protect humanity, but rather to ensure that no mortals could oppose their power?

Did you also notice that it was actually foreshadowed how Saitama will fight this GOD?!

In Chapter 193, Saitama enters a world where two groups coexist, each fighting for a different cause. (Manga Chapter 193)

saints vs deathbornsaints vs deathborn

The first group, known as the Saints, is responsible for guarding the ‘sealing stones‘ that sealed an evil dragon god

Meanwhile, the other group, referred to as ‘Deathbone‘ or ‘Deathborns,’ plots to revive the sealed dragon.

In theory, the ‘Saints‘ represent Blast and his ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ friends.

While ‘Deathbone’ is likely the village from which Speed-o’-Sound Sonic and Flashy Flash came from, as both groups wear similar ninja costumes.

Another connection pops up in Chapter 194 when Flashy Flash has a flashback – yeah, I know, redundant. But in that chapter, it’s revealed that there’s also a cube in the Ninja village

onepunch man 194 26 aonepunch man 194 26 a

That’s why, in Chapter 195, Flashy asks Blast if he knew about his village’s connection to ‘GOD.’

These cubes clearly resemble the ‘sealing stones.’ Plus, they also serve the same purpose — these devices are used to summon or communicate with a powerful being.

Okay, I have to say it! Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

The funny thing is… Saitama is the reason why the dragon was revived in the first place, this also connects to what Blast mentioned that GOD was also attracted by someone… and that is also Saitama.

Another popular theory suggests that the moon was acting as a prison for ‘God.’ When Saitama destroyed part of the moon during his fight with Boros, it is believed that he accidentally set ‘God’ free.

Saitama successfully summoned the Evil Dragon God and… killed it with one punch. So, I guess that’s how he’ll defeat this ‘GOD,’

Unless someone interferes or Saitama finally finds an opponent who can cure his existential crisis

Tsukuyumi

Aside from Blasts and the Ninja clan I think there is a third party that might also be involved with ‘GOD.’

It’s an association called Tsukuyumi…

Tsukuyumi 1Tsukuyumi 1

This is the group that conducted experiments on Tatsumaki when she was a child, and they are also known for creating artificial espers, like Apollo.

Now, here are the possible reasons why they might be connected with GOD…

In Japanese mythology, ‘Tsukuyumiis the moon god. Meanwhile, in the manga, we can clearly see that this ‘GOD’ resides on the moon.

GOD aGOD a

Also, in Tatsumaki’s flashback, when Blast came to the rescue, we see that the group had the cube in their facility.

This cube is not just a tool for communication; it’s also a means to achieve god-like powers, just like Garou.

However, we know that there’s a cost– if  a vessel is deemed unworthy… you DIE!

In theory, Tsukuyumi’s objective is to establish communication with GOD to attain power and be deemed worthy as a vessel.

To achieve this, Tsukuyumi conducted an experiment aimed at creating the perfect vessel.

With the aid of Psychos’ future sight, they can increase their chance of SUCCESS!

Back in Chapter 193, do you think Saitama can travel through multiple worlds

Just look at the title: ‘Worlds I Know Nothing About.’ And when he talked to King, he said the same thing: ‘There’s a world out there I know nothing about.’

Conclusion

OPM GIFOPM GIF

Saitama is VERY overpowered BUT along with that he’s also quite broken

And it’s so bad that now he’s even breaking the fourth wall!

So, he breaks the fourth wall, and he’s bald… It’s confirmed, guys – Saitama is Deadpool!
