Abstract: In this audio file, I reflect on my fieldwork in Palestine. Using commitment as a frame, I address how it helped me navigate encounters that pushed against pieties that stifle contradictions. I reckon with the possibilities that opened up when the field forces us to say and do things we did not expect, and recognize the everyday politics of our scholarship.
