As we promised in the last post today we bring you the follow-up with 5 more famous monuments of Barcelona.

Tibidabo

At Tibidabo, you will find several monuments of international interest. (1) The Tibidabo Amusement Park was opened in 1899. It was one of the first in Europe. Today it still has some of its old attractions such as the airplane. (2) The Temple of the Sacred Heart is a neo-gothic style temple built in 1886. If you go up to the top you will have an unforgettable view of Barcelona.

Pedralbes Monastery

The Pedralbes Monastery dates back to 1327 and is one of the best-preserved monuments of the Catalan Gothic style. Once inside you can see a recreation of the life that the cloistered nuns led.

Poble Espanyol

The Poble Español is a reproduction of the most beautiful corners of Spain. It was built at the time of the International Exhibition of 1929. It has 49,000 square meters and 177 buildings including restaurants, shops, and museums.

Cathedral of Barcelona

The Cathedral of Barcelona is an excellent example of 14th century Catalan Gothic architecture. We recommend you to visit parts of the cathedral-like the cloister where thirteen geese live, the crypt where Santa Eulalia is buried, martyred for defending the Christian faith as well as the terrace where you will see the towers.

Palace of Catalan Music

Catalan Music Palace is the perfect place for music and architectural art lovers. It was built between 1905 and 1908 and is one of the most important concert halls in the world. Inside it hides a bright and colorful space, with stained glass windows and small details all around.
