Art & Process Exhibition Showcases Bobcat Faculty Talent

It’s easy to go through college without knowing too much about your professors. Sure, you might get snippets here and there of their personal lives, but–after all–their job is to teach you and impart knowledge, not use you as the pulpit for their latest diatribe.

More than anything else, though, you can’t help but wonder about their professional successes. It’s no secret that it takes a certain level of esteem to become a college professor, in charge of the education of thousands of young professionals every year.

If that’s been you, especially in regard to art professors and their own works of art, you’re in luck. The answer to your questions lies in the Art & Process Exhibition currently taking place at the Kennedy Museum of Art. The exhibition runs through the end of March, coming to a close on March 29th, 2026, and it features the work of various faculty from the School of Art and Design.

Art & Process Shows More Than Just Art

Explore the Art & Process exhibit, and you’ll quickly see the myriad of talent that inhabits the rooms and lecture halls of the School of Art and Design. Art & Process showcases a wide variety of media and work dripping with talent and magic.

However, the real treat is the “& Process” part of the exhibition. Art & Process also showcases the documentation of the artist’s process through creating their work. Viewers will find imagery, written statements, and other materials to help guide them through the lens of the artist. This is a great exhibition for any Bobcat, but especially for those who are aspiring artists and want to catch a glimpse of how tenured professionals in the field work on their projects.

Take a weekend day to explore the Kennedy Museum on campus. Or better yet, if you’re hanging around Athens for spring break, make plans with friends to explore less-frequented areas on campus — you’ll be glad you did. The Art & Process exhibition runs through March 29th.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
