Apple releases iOS 26.2 with new Liquid Glass controls, one-time AirDrop codes and offline Apple Music lyrics

Apple has rolled out iOS 26.2, adding new features and refinements that round out one of the final major updates to iOS 26 this year.

The update introduces offline Apple Music lyrics, allowing users to view synced lyrics even when they have no data connection. Apple has also added a new one-time AirDrop code system, which lets you share files with someone who isn’t in your contacts. Once created, the code stays valid for 30 days.

Liquid Glass gets a noticeable upgrade too. A new slider in the Lock Screen settings gives much finer control over the clock’s opacity, letting users make the time almost fully transparent or far more frosted than before.

Elsewhere, the Passwords app now includes a section listing websites you’ve chosen not to save credentials for, making it easier to review and manage domains excluded from password storage.

Accessibility gains a new option as well. Under Flash for Alerts, users can now have the iPhone’s display flash when notifications arrive, alongside or instead of the rear LED flash.
