The new Big Time podcast, a fresh take on true crime with captivating stories of audacious dreamers and rule-benders hosted by actor Steve Buscemi, premieres March 24, Apple TV+ said Tuesday.
“I think a lot of people, myself included, are fascinated by folks who look at the rules and think, ‘No, I’ve got a better idea,’” Buscemi said. “Big Time isn’t just true crime — it’s a carnival of chaos, and I’m excited for listeners to tune in.”
Big Time true crime podcast premieres March 24
Apple enthusiasts and podcast lovers have something exciting to look forward to with Apple TV+’s newest Apple Original podcast, Big Time, set to premiere on Monday, March 24. Hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor and filmmaker Steve Buscemi, known for his iconic roles in Boardwalk Empire and Miracle Workers, this 14-episode series promises to deliver a unique spin on the true crime genre.
Big Time will explore audacious crimes that blur the line between ambition and illegality. That includes fake kidnappings, elaborate heists and even bizarre incidents like stolen sharks. Each week, Buscemi introduces listeners to a new true story about larger-than-life scams and schemes that nearly succeeded. The podcast gives an entertaining glimpse into the minds of those who dare to dream big, even if it means breaking a few rules along the way, Apple said.

Big-time creative team and Apple TV+ bonus
Lee Eisenberg’s Piece of Work Entertainment and Campside Media produce the podcast in association with Buscemi and Wren Arthur’s Olive Productions. This combination of creative talents suggests listeners can expect high-quality storytelling and production values.
And Apple TV+ subscribers get an added benefit. They can connect their subscription to Apple Podcasts to access the first two episodes on the launch date. Then subsequent episodes become available one week earlier than for non-subscribers. But those without an Apple TV+ subscription can still enjoy the series. They get the first episode on March 24, followed by weekly releases until the finale on June 16.
Growing podcast catalog
Big Time represents the third collaboration between Apple TV+ and Campside Media, following their previous successful podcasts Hooked and Run, Bambi, Run. Both received critical acclaim. Hooked won a Webby Award.
The new podcast joins Apple TV+’s growing catalog of original podcast content. It includes the duPont Award-winning The Line, as well as Operation: Tradebom and My Divo. Apple TV+ also offers companion podcasts for several of its popular series, including Foundation, For All Mankind and the docuseries The Big Conn.
Interested listeners can follow and access Big Time on Apple Podcasts at apple.co/BigTimePod starting March 24, adding yet another compelling reason for Apple users to take advantage of the expanding audio content offerings from Apple TV+.
