You can now download iOS 18.3 RC as well as RC version of iPadOS 18.3, macOS 15.3, tvOS 18.3, visionOS 2.3 and watchOS 11.3 to developers ahead of final version release.
This RC release comes a week after Apple seeded beta 3 version for the aforementioned platforms and should be considered pretty much the final build which will be made available to public next week.
While many expected x.3 update to iOS 18 and others to feature third-wave of Apple Intelligence features, it seems Apple has pushed them back for iOS 18.4 release and instead is focusing on refining the quality and bug fixes with x.3 release.
Perhaps the most significant change coming with iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 is Apple’s decision to make several modifications to Apple Intelligence Notification Summaries. Notably, news-related summaries have been temporarily removed from these summaries because of false positives it was generating. Apple says it will bring this feature back with a new iOS update later.
To download these RC updates, head over to Settings > General > Software Update on your device. You’ll find the RC OTA update there. Alternatively, for iOS 18.3 RC and iPadOS 18.3 RC, you can also download the IPSW file from developer.apple.com and then update your device using it via iTunes on Windows or Finder on Mac.
At this rate, Apple is expected to release final versions of iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3, macOS 15.3, tvOS 18.3, visionOS 2.3 and watchOS 11.3 to public sometime next week.
