Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade Packs for Super Mario Party Jamboree and More Confirmed • iPhone in Canada Blog

Prices for Nintendo Switch Upgrade Packs have been discovered for more games. According to retail listings from Best Buy in the US, it will cost Nintendo Switch 2 owners $29.99 USD to upgrade Super Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. However, Nintendo Canada’s website confirms Canadian pricing is set for $29.99.
Word of this first came from Nintendo Life, which reports that Best Buy’s site in the US has shared the official pricing for the premium-priced upgrade paths. Over on the Nintendo Canada website, each respective Upgrade Pack is listed as $29.99. Best Buy Canada hasn’t listed either on its website as of the time of writing. That being said, however, Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Super Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are both listed as being $114.99 for those who don’t already own either game.
The $19 USD Upgrade Pack grants access to all the Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive content that’s been developed. In the case of Super Mario Party Jamboree, Nintendo is adding the new ‘Jamboree TV’ mode, which introduces new minigames and modes that’ll take advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2 built-in mic and camera accessory. Kirby and the Forgotten Land provides the new ‘Star Cross World’ expansion DLC, adding new levels to play through and challenges to complete.
Super Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land aren’t the only games being brought over from the original Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are also launching with Upgrade Packs for existing owners of each respective game. In respect to these games, Nintendo is adding performance upgrades, unlocking smoother frames and improved textures. There’s also support for Zelda Notes, a game-specific service offered through the Nintendo Switch app on mobile. These Upgrade Packs are confirmed to cost $14.99 CAD. However, they’ll be free to all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
Preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 have gone live. In most cases, the new hardware sold out within moments, causing eager customers to frantically hit purchase ahead of the June 5th release date.
